Mount Elgon National Park

Mount Elgon National Park lies between the border of Kenya and Uganda and covers an area of 169 km2 on the Kenyan side. 1968 is the year that the park was declared as a national park and one of the Kenya vacations destinations. Mount Elgon is the second higest mountain in Kenya after mount Kenya and is very unique in it's own right. Mount travel can involve activities like mount climbing and camping which also takes place in mount kilimanjaro which is the highest montain in Africa. The volcanic mountain eroded a long time ago and formed a crater. The forest is well known to have diverse attractions like the old lava caves where elephants can be spotted as they move, calderas, mountains which are just perfect for mountain climbers, springs and cliffs where you can overlook the forest down below enjoying the scenery. Kenya vacations has plenty to choose from where you can watch a wide range of wildlife that include elephants, buffalo, colobus monkeys and hundreds of bird species.    

Kakamega Forest Reserve

Kakamega Forest Reserve is a rainforest found in Kakamega District and is very popular for being a biodiversity forest and different insect life and bird species some of which can not be found anywhere else in the world. This is a bird watchers paradise where tours with experienced and well trained guides will show you all the best forest area to go to and even spott the unique and rare red tailed monkey and other wildlife. During the night the forest trees are filled with all sorts of ringing sounds of frogs, birds and bats. Kenya vacations are seen by many visitors as rejuvinating and relaxing. It is advised that visitors should be well prepared for any kind of weather and to dress warmly as this is a rain forest. Other attire that can be carried in this natural forest include binoculars and cameras to capture the wild animals. 

Bull Fighting In Western Kenya

Bull fighting In Western Kenya has over the years continued to become more popular among the locals and the international tourists. Majority of the locals are male and both the young and the old turn out in large numbers to see this fun and entertaining bull fights which is different from rodeo bull. Just before the main show of the two strong and big bulls start, the running of the bulls which are smaller ones open the show just for a taste of what you should expect when the heavyweights take to the ring and thanks to Kenya vacations you will enjoy this spectacle. Just like in a soccer match when a team visits another team to play a match so does the visiting bull which goes to visit another area for this spectacular event are  escorted by the ever chanting supporters playing the drum "isikuti" who can be heard from a far as they approach the bull fight location.   

Bull Fight Preparation

Bull fight preparation takes place before the fight, the bull must be motivated and boost its morale by playing traditional instruments and the owner praises the bull as it stamps on the ground to show that it is ready for the fight. Urinating before the fight is also seen as partt of the ritual to relive the bull before fighting. The other opponent bull is going through the same process. The rule for this sport is that once the fight begins the clubs should be held high which symbol is going to war and also encourage the bullfighting.
